Catholic Film Critics Awards 2022 nominees announced
The International Catholic Film Critics Association has announced the nominees for its Catholic Film Critics Awards 2022.
The Banshees of Inisherin received eight nominations. It is the most of any film this year and was particularly strong in acting categories, with three noms. Tár, Top Gun: Maverick, and The Menu round out the podium with five nominations.
Three films will vie for the coveted Human and Gospel Values Award, the fewest in the short history of the honor. Father Stu is also nominated for Actor and Supporting Actor, while All Quiet on the Western Front and Thirteen Lives have Best Picture noms, among others.
Voting opened on January 11 and closed a week later. The membership will reconvene February 24, when final voting begins. March 3 will mark the last day of voting, with the winners announced on Sunday, March 6.
