Brutalist conquers all with Best Pic
The International Catholic Film Critics Association has announced the winners for its Catholic Film Critics Awards 2024. The Brutalist took Best Picture, while Denis Villeneuve won Best Director for Dune: Part Two.
Meanwhile The Best Christmas Pageant Ever just edged Inside Out 2 for the other highest award of the ceremony, the Human and Gospel Values Award.
The Brutalist wrapped with three wins, including Best Screenplay and a tie for Best Cinematography with Dune: Part Two. Villeneuve’s film tied it for the overall top spot with three wins of its own. Hans Zimmer suffered no controversy to a nomination en route to this Best Original Score win.
The 2024 Awards will be remembered for an incredible spread of wealth. No other film earned more than one victory, giving many a taste of success. Anora and Sing Sing were honored for the top acting accolades.
