Nominees announced! Dune with most bids

The International Catholic Film Critics Association has announced the nominees for its Catholic Film Critics Awards 2024.

Dune: Part Two received seven nominations for the most overall this year.

The Brutalist came up just shy with six, as did Wicked. A Complete Unknown grabbed a number of acting noms to get to six total as well. It was also a good day for Sing Sing, which garnered four. All these films have Best Picture nominations, with only Conclave’s Edward Berger slipping past The Brutalist for a Best Director nomination out of the bunch.

Screenplay nominations reverted to the previous method from 2022, combining adapted and original scripts.

Voting opened on January 14 and closed a week later. The membership will reconvene in late February, when final voting begins, with the winners announced on Thursday, February 27.
