Callum Ryan

Sydney - Charter Member - Film Critics’ Circle of Australia - Australian Catholic Office for Film and Broadcasting

Callum Ryan has written as a film critic for the Australian Catholic Office for Film and Broadcasting since 2014. He was also accepted as a member of the Film Critics’ Circle of Australia in 2014, a national professional body of film critics and film journalists.

He has served as a SIGNIS representative on juries at the Venice and Berlin international film festivals. He has also worked in film distribution at Entertainment One, and in television at NBCUniversal. 

The International Catholic Film Critics Association welcomed him in 2020 as a charter member. 

Born in London, Callum moved to Australia as a baby. Studying Arts and Commerce at the University of Sydney, he won the University Medal for Film Studies, also majoring in Finance and Business Analytics. He continues to live in Sydney where he now works as a strategy consultant.
