Sister Rose Pacatte

A Daughter of St. Paul, a media literacy education specialist, and the founding director of the Pauline Center for Media Studies, Sister Rose Pacatte, FSP is a charter member of the ICFCA.
Sister Rose is the film columnist for St. Anthony Messenger and the National Catholic Reporter. She also reviews films for RCLBenziger, hosts her own interview and review online show “The Industry with Sister Rose on the IN Network” and writes “Sister Rose at the Movies” blog on Patheos.
She is an award winning author and of books on film, scripture, and media literacy education. Published in 2015, her most recent book is Martin Sheen: Pilgrim on the Way.
Sister Rose is a member of SIGNIS and serves as the president of Catholics in Media Associates in Los Angeles. She has also served on juries at the Venice, Locarno, Berlin and Newport film festivals, as well as the Montreux television festival.
She teaches courses on media literacy for catechists and adults. A world traveler, she gives presentations and courses on media literacy around the globe.
She has a bachelor’s in liberal arts with concentrations in catechetics and communications, a masters in media studies from the Institute of Education, University of London, and a certificate in pastoral communication from the University of Dayton. There she has created courses and facilitates them for the school’s virtual learning community.
Sister Rose is a member of the Catholic Speakers Organization, or CatholicSpeakers.com. She resides in Los Angeles.
